Skinny girl II

Such a burden of sadness Can be seen on her face She has been used and abused From men of all race She seems distant and lost With low self-esteem For life has been cruel And she's only sixteen She gave birth to a child That she doesn't even know And life on the streets Has taken it toll Always selling  her body For sex without gain To support a bad habit Of drug in her vein Disrespected and scared By smooth talking  guys Who will strip her for few cash And then feel her with lies Once a symbol of beauty She looks wretched and old Another homeless poor girl Left out in the beach cold She's looking for love In all the wrong places Always reaching for help From all the wrong faces Another victim of shame Trying to keep hope alive She struggle for strength And that will to survive But she says life goes on She lift her eyes into the sky She reminisce on her past life And tears flows from her eyes

From the Portal to the Aisle

Image
It took me five years to realize She was the only one for me in my eyes Even then I seemed to be too late When I asked her to be my partner To sail the remaining of our life's journey She said she already has a date Damn! It hurt me to hear those words But happiness came when I put her first And when I looked into her eyes I know the truth from the lies She reminds me of everything called love The one I use to have, the one I lost I simply obliged to her irresistible kindness Hail me the king, because I am in a paradise So now I am ready to love again To feel someone next to me Making love without making love Cuddling to express my affection A kiss that speaks louder than words A body that is willing to love unconditionally A mind that is absent of pride A soul that tamed jealousy And a personality that has trust in attendance So from the Facebook portal We're walking to the Church Aisle I am an Adam Who just found a Mahogany Eve To help me create out...

Skinny girl

skinny lady, what happened to you.? What has the world turned this lady to With tears and disappointment In the heart of an abused lady At the time she ought to be in school Working towards achieving her dream She woke up from her dream and saw everything Crashing right in front of her very eyes With deep agony,  she cried for help Not even her mother was mother was ready to help her She has been impregnated by a man Who's three times older than her father She got pregnant too young to push With the last strength she ever possessed She bore a child She needed a man to help her raise the child Just at that time she needed someone to lean on To see her womanhood dream actualizing The storm of life stroke again She lost just one tool she ever depended on Her man, the umbrella above her head was taken home To the home of the dead For the first time she asked God "why me" A question that has no answer She was left all alone with her children To cater ...

Four Steps to Forgiveness

The first thing you decide is to forgive those who have hurt you; the second thing is to pray for them. Another thing God tells you to do is to bless your enemies. To bless someone means to speak well of them and want good things for them. Refuse to talk unkindly about those who hurt you. Don't keep talking about what your enemies did; it only keeps the pain stirred up in you. The fourth thing you must do is wait. Don't give up. Keep doing what is right, and wait on God to change your feelings and He will. Power Thought: Forgiveness is a process; God gives me the strength to walk it out

More than a Conqueror

As Christians, we often hear people quote Romans 8:37, which says we are more than conquerors. For years, I have pondered what being more than a conqueror actually means. I'm sure other people have different interpretations, but I have come to the conclusion that being more than a conqueror means you have such confidence that no matter what comes up in your life, you know that through Christ you can handle it. You know before you are ever faced with a problem that you're going to have victory over it. You believe you can do whatever you need to do in life. Therefore, you don't dread things, you don't fear the unknown, and you don't live in anxiety about what's going to happen. It doesn't really matter what the specifics of each situation are, you know you will be victorious through Christ. Power Thought: I am more than a conqueror through Christ

My Sun has come

My sun has come The mist are gone We see in a distance Our long way home I was always yours to have And you are always mine We have love each other In and out of time From the sand to the stone Looking up to the blazing sun And first the tree struggle up From the forest flowers I had always loved you more You free your breed Give your head to the breeze It harm like a hive of honeybees I reached for in the mass For the sweet honeycomb there God knows how I love you are here You saw me blended by circumstances Lost, Aged and hurt by chance I screamed to the heavens Loudly scream in the nightmares of tragedy But finally, my sun has come The mist are gone We see in a distance Our long way home I was always yours to have And you are always mine We have love each other In and out, in and out of Time

Baba Risi's Court - Head or Tail

Image
Baba Risi surveyed the courtroom. Politics money is good o, it is not struggle money like all these car park dues, returns from agberos on the road and gate takings in the court. He had renovated the room and changed the chairs from the old mix and mash ones to new sparkling white plastic chairs. His own chair and table were now executive chairs, the type all those bank ogas put in their offices. “Why I no think of this politics thing since o,” he mumbled out loud to himself. He tapped the clerk and signaled him to call the next case. Rosco was not around today as he had gone to Ijebu to prepare for the party to “turn” his mother’s corpse over in her grave. Baba Risi was leaving after today’s cases for the party. No matter how much money was coming from the politics, he was not one to waste any source of income. If there was money to be made by opening the doors of the court today before heading to Ijebu, he was not losing it. A familiar young man stormed forward as ...
