Celebrating 34years of togetherness

Image
December 18th  1982 Today marks the 34th anniversary when you took the vows before to be faithful to each other, be with each other in good and times, raise your children with the fear of God and bear witness to humanity in the vocation of marriage.  Since then you have remained a shining example to humanity and model to us your children. This anniversary is a celebration of your love to each other and also to us your children.  It is a great blessing to have a loving parents like you. What a blessing God has bestowed upon you to train all your children to university level.  You deserve the most beautiful greetings in the world for the hard work and devotion to our family. Thank you for all the patience and sacrifices during the storm to keep the family together. I pray this day that God will continue to uphold you in good health and love, preserve your union and grant you grace to continue to be that model for the church and the community. You shall live l...

Finding a home church

Image
I am thinking of going somewhere new for a change next Sunday. In Lagos, I have attended RCCG, Anglican, Daystar, Coza, Apostolic, TREM, Winner and Dominion City but I am yet to find that church that will make me feel like i am in my home church I cannot visit most of the churches on the Island due to distance. I LOVE Daystar but it is too big and I feel I would only be a number there. I think its weird when I am being searched by security to attend the presence of the Lord like some churches do as if Boko Haram is in Lagos. Sunday Church service at Apostolic Church never ends. TREM congregation is made of old skool people. HICC is full of the Snapchat generation. COZA can be distracting. Catholic is too quiet. Anglican seems monotonous. Which church do you worship? I want to stop being a church ashawo.

Herd-Boy at the Ranch

I stand @ d topmost hill watching d herd-boy & his Sheeps he place a stick on his slender shoulder as he & his  sheeps wander. While wandering with his herd, he's busy catapulting the birds in sky soon he gets tired because he won't catch any bird. As he continued wandering with his flock he ask passer-by "what's O'clock?" but those who often pass his daily task look at their watch and tell before he ask. When he heard hunters far & wide he climbed the highest tree to see them ride he looked down to ensure he flock are safe he's ever ready to give wild animal a chase. The herd-boy is always a happy boy because he has lot to feed on he keeps his food in a polythene some chicken he killed by feeding with corn + Gammalin. At dusk, he calls the sheeps together and take them to the home his master he stops the gap and keeps them in unison and tends them closely till they reach home

Real Mom or Step Mom

Image
A woman abandoned her husband & her four (4) year old son for her rich boyfriend & they both (woman & boy friend) eventually travelled to the U.S.A Out of frustration & desperation the husband went & married another woman. Unfortunately the 2nd woman couldn't bear a child for the husband. Despite her inability to bear a child, the 2nd woman took great care of the boy & treated him like her own son. Few years later, the husband died in a car accident. The 2nd wife did everything in her power to educate the boy, she engaged in petty trade such as pepper, maggie, salt, palm oil, onion, tomatoes, etc, in the market square in order to sponsor the boy's schooling. The boy only knew his step mother as his real mother & there4, he called her Mama. The real mother in the U.S.A did not for once find out about the wellbeing of her son thoughtless of sending a penny for the boy, even after she heard that her x-husband (son's father)  died in an accid...
