WAITING: The Agony of Loneliness
*****************************
In faith and fear
My weary soul waits for your return
Waiting like Zangbeto statue in my village
Just like churches and mosques await
Their congregation -I am waiting for you
I waited like cedar of Lebanon

Standing in a solitary place Waiting
helplessly in the cold arms of wind
Waiting till the dark cloud glided above my head

Waiting till cold weather painted me white
Waiting in this limited boundaries
Waiting and looking as ambition broke our intimacy
Waiting to hold your hands - our daily rituals

Time and needs disunited us
We're dispersed by winds of struggle
Each in this world, digging a fallow ground
Lost in the globe, this same single world
Demarcated by waters,  distance by mile
Hidden by laws,  controlled by constitutions
Restricted by policies, withheld by finance
"walai"... This world is so big and far

But I waited still in hope
With blood running hot in my veins
Waiting on the wing of time
Waiting for the day i will see you again
I miss you... I miss us
